Hi, I’m Karen!
I’ve been married for 25 wonderful years to the love of my life, who supports me in every endeavor, adventure, and season I walk through. I’m also a proud mom to three beautiful children and two sweet grandchildren. I’m incredibly blessed to be the owner and designer of Creative Cousins Florist & Gifts. My journey into the floral world began unexpectedly when I wandered into a charming flower shop called Bloomies. The lovely owner needed help that day, and I jumped in — delivering arrangements, cleaning, and taking orders in my spare time. That small act of kindness turned into a full-time role managing the shop. For two years, I had the joy of watching her create stunning floral designs while I learned the names of flowers, studied the techniques, and soaked in everything I could. Tragically, she passed away suddenly, and I was faced with a choice — sink or swim. I did everything I could to keep her shop going, but when the pandemic hit, her husband decided not to continue the business. That’s when I took a leap of faith. I renamed the shop, poured in my heart, and dedicated myself to learning and growing. From studying tutorials to replicating designs, I honed my craft. Over time, my love for flowers only deepened. I’ve since had the honor of designing everything from loving memorial arrangements to whimsical wedding florals. This industry is ever-evolving, and I love staying inspired by new styles and techniques. Every arrangement I create is crafted with passion and intention. To me, flowers are more than just pretty petals — they are art. They speak when words fall short. They tell stories, evoke emotions, and carry deep meaning.
